As-Saffat Verse 38

You will certainly taste the painful torment,

You will surely taste the painful punishment,

Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement,

you will taste the painful torment,

Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive.

Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;-

(They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement.

You will indeed taste a painful punishment,

“You surely have to taste the painful punishment.”

Indeed you will taste the painful punishment,

You are surely bound to taste the painful punishment (on account of your attitude and actions),

(Disbelievers!) you will suffer the woeful punishment, most certainly.

That you are tasting/experiencing the torture, the painful.

“You surely have to taste the painful punishment.”

Most surely you will taste the painful punishment.

Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment;

Nay, he has brought the Truth and verifies the messengers.

Most surely you will taste the painful punishment.

Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom -

(They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment

You shall certainly taste the painful punishment:

Verily, you are going to taste the painful torment;

you shall surely taste the painful punishment,

Most assuredly, you will taste the painful punishment.

`You shall certainly (there is a shift from the third person address [to the second] here) taste the painful chastisement,

The Punishment of the Idolators and the Reward of the sincere Believers

Allah says, addressing the people;

إِنَّكُمْ لَذَايِقُو الْعَذَابِ الاَْلِيمِ



وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلاَّ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
