As-Saffat Verse 65

bearing fruit like devils’ heads.

its fruits are like heads of devils.

its spathes are as the heads of Satans,

and its fruits are like devils’ heads.

The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents.

The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils;

Its spathes are like the heads of satans.

Its spathes are like the prickly pear.

Its fruit like the heads of demons.

Its spathes are as if they were devils’ heads.

Its fruits are like the heads of satans.

Its produce is as though it were the heads of serpents.

Its first fruit of the season as though it (is) the devils` heads/tops .

Its fruit like the heads of demons.

Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents (or devils).

The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils);

It is a tree that grows in the bottom of hell --

Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents.

Its crop is as it were the heads of devils

and its fruits are like the heads of devils.

its spathes are like the heads of satans

The shoots of its fruit stalks are like the heads of Shayatin.

and its fruits are like devils' heads.

Its fruits are like the devils’ heads.

Its spathes, likened to the spathes of a date-palm, are like the heads of devils, [as] vile-looking snakes.

The shoots of its fruit stalks are like the heads of Shayatin.

this is a description of how ugly and repulsive it is. It is likened to
رُوُوسُ الشَّيَاطِين
(the heads of Shayatin), even though they have never seen them, because it is a well-established idea in people's minds that devils are ugly in appearance.

فَإِنَّهُمْ لَاإكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِوُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
