يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَأْكُلُوْٓا اَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَاطِلِ اِلَّآ اَنْ تَكُوْنَ تِجَارَةً عَنْ تَرَاضٍ مِّنْكُمْ ۗ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوْٓا اَنْفُسَكُمْ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيْمًا   ( النساء: ٢٩ )

yāayyuhā
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe[d]!
لَا
(Do) not
takulū
تَأْكُلُوٓا۟
eat
amwālakum
أَمْوَٰلَكُم
your wealth
baynakum
بَيْنَكُم
between yourselves
bil-bāṭili
بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ
unjustly
illā
إِلَّآ
But
an
أَن
that
takūna
تَكُونَ
(there) be
tijāratan
تِجَٰرَةً
business
ʿan
عَن
on
tarāḍin
تَرَاضٍ
mutual consent
minkum
مِّنكُمْۚ
among you
walā
وَلَا
And (do) not
taqtulū
تَقْتُلُوٓا۟
kill
anfusakum
أَنفُسَكُمْۚ
yourselves
inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
kāna
كَانَ
is
bikum
بِكُمْ
to you
raḥīman
رَحِيمًا
Most Merciful

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa taakulooo amwaalakum bainakum bilbaatili 'illaaa an takoona tijaaratan 'an taraadim minkum; wa laa taqtulooo anfusakum; innal laaha kaana bikum Raheemaa (an-Nisāʾ 4:29)

Sahih International:

O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful. (An-Nisa [4] : 29)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

O you who believe, do not devour each other’s property by false means, unless it is trade conducted with your mutual consent. Do not kill one another. Indeed, Allah has been Very-Merciful to you.
