مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهٖۚ وَمَنْ اَسَاۤءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُوْنَ  ( الجاثية: ١٥ )

عَمِلَ

ṣāliḥan
صَٰلِحًا
a righteous deed
falinafsihi
فَلِنَفْسِهِۦۖ
then it is for his soul
waman
وَمَنْ
and whoever
asāa
أَسَآءَ
does evil
faʿalayhā
فَعَلَيْهَاۖ
then it (is) against it
thumma
ثُمَّ
Then
ilā
إِلَىٰ
to
rabbikum
رَبِّكُمْ
your Lord
tur'jaʿūna
تُرْجَعُونَ
you will be returned

Maa 'amila saalihan falinafsihee wa man asaaa'a fa'alaihaa summa ilaa Rabbikum turja'oon (al-Jāthiyah 45:15)

Sahih International:

Whoever does a good deed – it is for himself; and whoever does evil – it is against it [i.e., the self or soul]. Then to your Lord you will be returned. (Al-Jathiyah [45] : 15)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Whoever acts righteously, it is for his own benefit, and who does evil, it is against his own soul. Then towards your Lord, you will be returned.
