وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّسْتَمِعُ اِلَيْكَۚ حَتّٰىٓ اِذَا خَرَجُوْا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ قَالُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ اٰنِفًا ۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ طَبَعَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ وَاتَّبَعُوْٓا اَهْوَاۤءَهُمْ ( محمد: ١٦ )
Wa minhum mai yastami' ilaika hattaaa izaa kharajoo min 'indika qaaloo lillazeena ootul 'ilma maazaa qaala aanifaa; ulaaa'ikal lazeena taba'al laahu 'alaa quloobihim wattaba'ooo ahwaaa'ahum (Muḥammad 47:16)
Sahih International:
And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires. (Muhammad [47] : 16)
1 Mufti Taqi Usmani
Among them there are ones who (pretend to) give ear to you, until when they go out from your presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, “What did he say just now?” Those are the ones on whose hearts Allah has put a seal, and they have followed their desires.
