ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْبَاطِلَ وَاَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْحَقَّ مِنْ رَّبِّهِمْ ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ اَمْثَالَهُمْ   ( محمد: ٣ )

dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
That
bi-anna
بِأَنَّ
(is) because
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve
ittabaʿū
ٱتَّبَعُوا۟
follow
l-bāṭila
ٱلْبَٰطِلَ
falsehood
wa-anna
وَأَنَّ
and because
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
ittabaʿū
ٱتَّبَعُوا۟
follow
l-ḥaqa
ٱلْحَقَّ
(the) truth
min
مِن
from
rabbihim
رَّبِّهِمْۚ
their Lord
kadhālika
كَذَٰلِكَ
Thus
yaḍribu
يَضْرِبُ
Allah presents
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah presents
lilnnāsi
لِلنَّاسِ
to the people
amthālahum
أَمْثَٰلَهُمْ
their similitudes

Zaalika bi annal lazeena kafarut taba'ul baatila wa annal lazeena aamanut taba'ul haqqa mir Rabbihim; kazaalika yadribul laahu linnaasi amsaalahum (Muḥammad 47:3)

Sahih International:

That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons. (Muhammad [47] : 3)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

That is because the disbelievers have followed falsehood, while the believers have followed the truth (that has come) from their Lord. This is how Allah explains their (respective) situations to the people.
