فَلَمَّا رَاَ الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّيْ ۚفَلَمَّآ اَفَلَ قَالَ لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ يَهْدِنِيْ رَبِّيْ لَاَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّاۤلِّيْنَ   ( الأنعام: ٧٧ )

the moon

قَالَ

هَٰذَا

rabbī
رَبِّىۖ
(is) my Lord"

فَلَمَّآ
But when
afala
أَفَلَ
it set
qāla
قَالَ
he said
la-in
لَئِن
"If
lam
لَّمْ
(does) not
yahdinī
يَهْدِنِى
guide me
rabbī
رَبِّى
my Lord
la-akūnanna
لَأَكُونَنَّ
I will surely be
mina
مِنَ
among
l-qawmi
ٱلْقَوْمِ
the people
l-ḍālīna
ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
who went astray"

Falammmaa ra al qamara baazighan qaala haazaa Rabbee falammmmaaa afala qaala la'il lam yahdinee Rabbee la akoonanna minal qawmid daaalleen (al-ʾAnʿām 6:77)

Sahih International:

And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray." (Al-An'am [6] : 77)

Later, when he saw the moon rising, he said, “This is my Lord.” But, when it vanished, he said, “Had my Lord not guided me, I would have been among those gone astray.”
