فَاَذَاقَهُمُ اللّٰهُ الْخِزْيَ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚوَلَعَذَابُ الْاٰخِرَةِ اَكْبَرُ ۘ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ( الزمر: ٢٦ )
fa-adhāqahumu
فَأَذَاقَهُمُ
So Allah made them taste
Leur a donc fait goûter
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
So Allah made them taste
Allâh
l-khiz'ya
ٱلْخِزْىَ
the disgrace
(à) la disgrâce
fī
فِى
in
dans
l-ḥayati
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
the life
la vie
l-dun'yā
ٱلدُّنْيَاۖ
(of) the world
(de) l’ici-bas.
walaʿadhābu
وَلَعَذَابُ
and certainly (the) punishment
Et certainement (le) châtiment
l-ākhirati
ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
(of) the Hereafter
(de) l’au-delà
akbaru
أَكْبَرُۚ
(is) greater
(est) plus grand,
law
لَوْ
if
s’
kānū
كَانُوا۟
they
ils savaient
yaʿlamūna
يَعْلَمُونَ
knew
ils savaient !
Fa azaaqahumul laahul khizya fil hayaatid dunyaa wa la'azaabul Aakirati akbar; law kaanoo ya'lamoon (az-Zumar 39:26)
English Sahih:
So Allah made them taste disgrace in worldly life. But the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew. (Az-Zumar [39] : 26)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Allah leur a fait goûter l'ignominie dans la vie présente. Le châtiment de l'au-delà, cependant, est plus grand, si seulement ils savaient! (Az-Zumar [39] : 26)
