فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا قَوْلًا غَيْرَ الَّذِيْ قِيْلَ لَهُمْ فَاَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَفْسُقُوْنَ ࣖ ( البقرة: ٥٩ )
But changed
فَبَدَّلَ
तो बदल डाला
those who
ٱلَّذِينَ
जिन्होंने
wronged
ظَلَمُوا۟
ज़ुल्म किया
(the) word
قَوْلًا
बात को
other (than)
غَيْرَ
सिवाय
that which
ٱلَّذِى
उसके जो
was said
قِيلَ
कही गई थी
to them;
لَهُمْ
उनसे
so We sent down
فَأَنزَلْنَا
तो उतारा हमने
upon
عَلَى
उन पर जिन्होंने
those who
ٱلَّذِينَ
उन पर जिन्होंने
wronged
ظَلَمُوا۟
ज़ुल्म किया था
a punishment
رِجْزًا
अज़ाब
from
مِّنَ
आसमान से
the sky
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
आसमान से
because
بِمَا
बवजह उसके जो
they were
كَانُوا۟
थे वो
defiantly disobeying
يَفْسُقُونَ
वो नाफ़रमानी करते
Fabaddala allatheena thalamoo qawlan ghayra allathee qeela lahum faanzalna 'ala allatheena thalamoo rijzan mina alssamai bima kanoo yafsuqoona (al-Baq̈arah 2:59)

फिर जो बात उनसे कहीं गई थी ज़ालिमों ने उसे दूसरी बात से बदल दिया। अन्ततः ज़ालिमों पर हमने, जो अवज्ञा वे कर रहे थे उसके कारण, आकाश से यातना उतारी
English Sahih:
But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment [i.e., plague] from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying. ([2] Al-Baqarah : 59)
