۞ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الرَّسُوْلُ لَا يَحْزُنْكَ الَّذِيْنَ يُسَارِعُوْنَ فِى الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا بِاَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ ۛ وَمِنَ الَّذِيْنَ هَادُوْا ۛ سَمّٰعُوْنَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمّٰعُوْنَ لِقَوْمٍ اٰخَرِيْنَۙ لَمْ يَأْتُوْكَ ۗ يُحَرِّفُوْنَ الْكَلِمَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهٖۚ يَقُوْلُوْنَ اِنْ اُوْتِيْتُمْ هٰذَا فَخُذُوْهُ وَاِنْ لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُوْا ۗوَمَنْ يُّرِدِ اللّٰهُ فِتْنَتَهٗ فَلَنْ تَمْلِكَ لَهٗ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْـًٔا ۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُّطَهِّرَ قُلُوْبَهُمْ ۗ لَهُمْ فِى الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ ۖوَّلَهُمْ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ ( المائدة: ٤١ )
Ya ayyuha alrrasoolu la yahzunka allatheena yusari'oona fee alkufri mina allatheena qaloo amanna biafwahihim walam tumin quloobuhum wamina allatheena hadoo samma'oona lilkathibi samma'oona liqawmin akhareena lam yatooka yuharrifoona alkalima min ba'di mawadi'ihi yaqooloona in ooteetum hatha fakhuthoohu wain lam tutawhu faihtharoo waman yuridi Allahu fitnatahu falan tamlika lahu mina Allahi shayan olaika allatheena lam yuridi Allahu an yutahhira quloobahum lahum fee alddunya khizyun walahum fee alakhirati 'athabun 'atheemun (al-Māʾidah 5:41)

ऐ रसूल! जो लोग अधर्म के मार्ग में दौड़ते है, उनके कारण तुम दुखी न होना; वे जिन्होंने अपने मुँह से कहा कि 'हम ईमान ले आए,' किन्तु उनके दिल ईमान नहीं लाए; और वे जो यहूदी हैं, वे झूठ के लिए कान लगाते हैं और उन दूसरे लोगों की भली-भाँति सुनते है, जो तुम्हारे पास नहीं आए, शब्दों को उनका स्थान निश्चित होने के बाद भी उनके स्थान से हटा देते है। कहते है, 'यदि तुम्हें यह (आदेश) मिले, तो इसे स्वीकार करना और यदि न मिले तो बचना।' जिसे अल्लाह ही आपदा में डालना चाहे उसके लिए अल्लाह के यहाँ तुम्हारी कुछ भी नहीं चल सकती। ये वही लोग है जिनके दिलों को अल्लाह ने स्वच्छ करना नहीं चाहा। उनके लिए संसार में भी अपमान और तिरस्कार है और आख़िरत में भी बड़ी यातना है
English Sahih:
O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] places [i.e., usages], saying, "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allah intends fitnah – never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah. Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment. ([5] Al-Ma'idah : 41)

ऐ रसूल जो लोग कुफ़्र की तरफ़ लपक के चले जाते हैं तुम उनका ग़म न खाओ उनमें बाज़ तो ऐसे हैं कि अपने मुंह से बे तकल्लुफ़ कह देते हैं कि हम ईमान लाए हालॉकि उनके दिल बेईमान हैं और बाज़ यहूदी ऐसे हैं कि (जासूसी की ग़रज़ से) झूठी बातें बहुत (शौक से) सुनते हैं ताकि कुफ्फ़ार के दूसरे गिरोह को जो (अभी तक) तुम्हारे पास नहीं आए हैं सुनाएं ये लोग (तौरैत के) अल्फ़ाज़ की उनके असली मायने (मालूम होने) के बाद भी तहरीफ़ करते हैं (और लोगों से) कहते हैं कि (ये तौरैत का हुक्म है) अगर मोहम्मद की तरफ़ से (भी) तुम्हें यही हुक्म दिया जाय तो उसे मान लेना और अगर यह हुक्म तुमको न दिया जाए तो उससे अलग ही रहना और (ऐ रसूल) जिसको ख़ुदा ख़राब करना चाहता है तो उसके वास्ते ख़ुदा से तुम्हारा कुछ ज़ोर नहीं चल सकता यह लोग तो वही हैं जिनके दिलों को ख़ुदा ने (गुनाहों से) पाक करने का इरादा ही नहीं किया (बल्कि) उनके लिए तो दुनिया में भी रूसवाई है और आख़ेरत में भी (उनके लिए) बड़ा (भारी) अज़ाब होगा
