وَلَوْ كَانُوْا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالنَّبِيِّ وَمَآ اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْهِ مَا اتَّخَذُوْهُمْ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ وَلٰكِنَّ كَثِيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ فٰسِقُوْنَ ( المائدة: ٨١ )
And if
وَلَوْ
और अगर
they had
كَانُوا۟
होते वो
believed
يُؤْمِنُونَ
वो ईमान लाते
in Allah
بِٱللَّهِ
अल्लाह पर
and the Prophet
وَٱلنَّبِىِّ
और नबी पर
and what
وَمَآ
और जो कुछ
has been revealed
أُنزِلَ
नाज़िल किया गया
to him
إِلَيْهِ
तरफ़ उनके
not
مَا
ना
they (would have) taken them
ٱتَّخَذُوهُمْ
वो बनाते उन्हें
(as) allies;
أَوْلِيَآءَ
दोस्त
[and] but
وَلَٰكِنَّ
और लेकिन
many
كَثِيرًا
बहुत से
of them
مِّنْهُمْ
उनमें से
(are) defiantly disobedient
فَٰسِقُونَ
नाफ़रमान हैं
Walaw kanoo yuminoona biAllahi waalnnabiyyi wama onzila ilayhi ma ittakhathoohum awliyaa walakinna katheeran minhum fasiqoona (al-Māʾidah 5:81)

और यदि वे अल्लाह और नबी पर और उस चीज़ पर ईमान लाते, जो उसकी ओर अवतरित हुईस तो वे उनको मित्र न बनाते। किन्तु उनमें अधिकतर अवज्ञाकारी है
English Sahih:
And if they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and in what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient. ([5] Al-Ma'idah : 81)
