فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ قَوْلًا غَيْرَ الَّذِيْ قِيْلَ لَهُمْ فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَظْلِمُوْنَ ࣖ ( الأعراف: ١٦٢ )
But changed
فَبَدَّلَ
पस बदल दिया
those who
ٱلَّذِينَ
उन लोगों ने जिन्होंने
wronged
ظَلَمُوا۟
ज़ुल्म किया
among them
مِنْهُمْ
उन में से
word
قَوْلًا
बात को
other than
غَيْرَ
सिवाय
(that) which
ٱلَّذِى
उसके जो
was said
قِيلَ
कही गई थी
to them
لَهُمْ
उन्हें
So We sent
فَأَرْسَلْنَا
तो भेजा हमने
upon them
عَلَيْهِمْ
उन पर
torment
رِجْزًا
अज़ाब
from
مِّنَ
आसमान से
the sky
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
आसमान से
because
بِمَا
बवजह उसके जो
they were
كَانُوا۟
थे वो
doing wrong
يَظْلِمُونَ
वो ज़ुल्म करते
Fabaddala allatheena thalamoo minhum qawlan ghayra allathee qeela lahum faarsalna 'alayhim rijzan mina alssamai bima kanoo yathlimoona (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:162)

किन्तु उनमें से जो अत्याचारी थे उन्होंने, जो कुछ उनसे कहा गया था, उसको उससे भिन्न बात से बदल दिया। अतः जो अत्याचार वे कर रहे थे, उसके कारण हमने आकाश से उनपर यातना भेजी
English Sahih:
But those who wronged among them changed [the words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them. So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky for the wrong that they were doing. ([7] Al-A'raf : 162)
