فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ قَوْلًا غَيْرَ الَّذِيْ قِيْلَ لَهُمْ فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَظْلِمُوْنَ ࣖ ( الأعراف: ١٦٢ )
Fabaddalal lazeena zalamoo minhum qawlan ghairal lazee qeela lahum fa arsalnaa 'alaihim rijzam minas samaaa'i bimaa kaanoo yazlimoon (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:162)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
அவர்களில் வரம்பு மீறியவர்களோ, அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்ட ("ஹித்ததுன்" என்ப)தை மாற்றி ("ஹின்த்ததுன்" கோதுமை என்று) கூறினார்கள். ஆகவே, (இவ்வாறு) அவர்கள் அநியாயம் செய்ததன் காரணமாக நாம் அவர்கள் மீது வானத்திலிருந்து வேதனையை இறக்கி வைத்தோம்.
English Sahih:
But those who wronged among them changed [the words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them. So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky for the wrong that they were doing. ([7] Al-A'raf : 162)
