Sin, Whoever earns sin, he earns it only against himself

وَمَنۡ يَّكۡسِبۡ اِثۡمًا فَاِنَّمَا يَكۡسِبُهٗ عَلٰى نَفۡسِهٖ‌ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمًا حَكِيۡمًا(النساء :111)

وَمَن

And whoever

يَكْسِبْ

earns

إِثْمًا

sin

فَإِنَّمَا

then only

يَكْسِبُهُۥ

he earns it

عَلَىٰ

against

نَفْسِهِۦۚ

his soul

وَكَانَ

And is

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

عَلِيمًا

All-Knowing

حَكِيمًا

All-Wise

Waman yaksib ithman fainnama yaksibuhu 'ala nafsihi wakana Allahu 'aleeman hakeeman

And whoever commits a sin only earns it against himself. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
