اَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا اَنْ اَوْحَيْنَآ اِلٰى رَجُلٍ مِّنْهُمْ اَنْ اَنْذِرِ النَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ قَالَ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ اِنَّ هٰذَا لَسٰحِرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ( يونس: ٢ )
A kaana linnaasi 'aaban an awhainaaa ilaa rajulim minhum an anzirin naasa wa bashshiril lazeena aamanoo anna lahum qadama sidqin 'inda Rabbihim; qaalal kaafiroona inna haaza lasaahirum mubeen (al-Yūnus 10:2)
English Sahih:
Have the people been amazed that We revealed [revelation] to a man from among them, [saying], "Warn mankind and give good tidings to those who believe that they will have a [firm] precedence of honor with their Lord"? [But] the disbelievers say, "Indeed, this is an obvious magician." (Yunus [10] : 2)

തങ്ങളില് നിന്നുതന്നെയുള്ള ഒരാള്ക്കു നാം ദിവ്യസന്ദേശം നല്കിയത് ജനങ്ങള്ക്കൊരദ്ഭുതമായി തോന്നുന്നോ? ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കാനാണിത്. വിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് തങ്ങളുടെ നാഥങ്കല് സത്യം അര്ഹിക്കുന്ന പദവിയുണ്ടെന്ന സുവാര്ത്ത അറിയിക്കാനും. സത്യനിഷേധികള് പറഞ്ഞു: ''ഇയാള് വ്യക്തമായും ഒരു മായാജാലക്കാരന് തന്നെ.'' (യൂനുസ് [10] : 2)

ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് താക്കീത് നല്കുകയും, സത്യവിശ്വാസികളെ, അവര്ക്ക് അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല് സത്യത്തിന്റെതായ പദവിയുണ്ട് എന്ന സന്തോഷവാര്ത്ത അറിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക' എന്ന് അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് നിന്നുതന്നെയുള്ള ഒരാള്ക്ക് നാം ദിവ്യസന്ദേശം നല്കിയത് ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഒരു അത്ഭുതമായിപ്പോയോ? സത്യനിഷേധികള് പറഞ്ഞു: ഇയാള് സ്പഷ്ടമായും ഒരു മാരണക്കാരന് തന്നെയാകുന്നു.
