وَيَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ رِزْقًا مِّنَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ ۚ ( النحل: ٧٣ )
wayaʿbudūna
وَيَعْبُدُونَ
And they worship
അവര്‍ ആരാധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു
min dūni l-lahi
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ
other than other than Allah
അല്ലാഹുവിനു പുറമെ, കൂടാതെ
mā lā yamliku
مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ
which not possesses
അധീനമാക്കാത്ത (സാധിക്കാത്ത - പ്രാപ്തമാകാത്ത)തിനെ
lahum
لَهُمْ
for them
അവര്‍ക്കു
riz'qan
رِزْقًا
any provision
ഉപജീവനത്തിനു, ആഹാരം നല്‍കുവാന്‍
mina l-samāwāti
مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
from the heavens
ആകാശങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു
wal-arḍi
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth
ഭൂമിയില്‍ നിന്നും
shayan
شَيْـًٔا
[anything]
യാതൊന്നും, ഒട്ടും, വല്ലതും, ഒരു വസ്തുവും
walā yastaṭīʿūna
وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
and not they are able
അവര്‍ക്കു സാധ്യമാകുകയുമില്ല
Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yamliku lahum rizqam minas samaawaati wal ardi shai'anw wa laa yastatee'oon (an-Naḥl 16:73)
English Sahih:
And they worship besides Allah that which does not possess for them [the power of] provision from the heavens and the earth at all, and [in fact], they are unable. (An-Nahl [16] : 73)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ആകാശഭൂമികളില്‍ നിന്ന് അവര്‍ക്ക് ആഹാരമൊന്നും നല്‍കാത്തവരെയും ഒന്നിനും കഴിയാത്തവരെയുമാണ് അല്ലാഹുവെവിട്ട് അവര്‍ പൂജിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. (അന്നഹ്ല്‍ [16] : 73)
