اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَكْتُمُوْنَ مَآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِ وَيَشْتَرُوْنَ بِهٖ ثَمَنًا قَلِيْلًاۙ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ مَا يَأْكُلُوْنَ فِيْ بُطُوْنِهِمْ اِلَّا النَّارَ وَلَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللّٰهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيْهِمْ ۚوَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ( البقرة: ١٧٤ )
Innal lazeena yaktumoona maaa anzalal laahu minal kitaabi wa yashtaroona bihee samanan qaleelan ulaaa'ika maa yaakuloona fee butoonihim illan Naara wa laa yukallimu humul laahu Yawmal Qiyaamati wa laa yuzakkeehim wa lahum 'azaabun aleem (al-Baq̈arah 2:174)
English Sahih:
Indeed, they who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book and exchange it for a small price – those consume not into their bellies except the Fire. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful punishment. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 174)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തില് അല്ലാഹു അവതരിപ്പിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങള് മറച്ചുപിടിക്കുകയും അതിനു തുച്ഛമായ വില വാങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്, തങ്ങളുടെ വയറുകളില് തിന്നുനിറക്കുന്നത് നരകത്തീയല്ലാതൊന്നുമല്ല. ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പുനാളില് അല്ലാഹു അവരോട് മിണ്ടുകയില്ല. അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയുമില്ല. അവര്ക്കുള്ളത് നോവേറിയ ശിക്ഷയാണ്. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 174)

വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തിലുള്ള അല്ലാഹു അവതരിപ്പിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങള് മറച്ചുവെക്കുകയും, അതിന്നു വിലയായി തുച്ഛമായ നേട്ടങ്ങള് നേടിയെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരാരോ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വയറുകളില് തിന്നുനിറക്കുന്നത് നരകാഗ്നിയല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല. ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിൻ്റെ നാളില് അല്ലാഹു അവരോട് സംസാരിക്കുകയോ (പാപങ്ങളില് നിന്ന്) അവരെ സംശുദ്ധരാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല. അവര്ക്ക് വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷയുണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
