وَالَّذِيْنَ اِذَا فَعَلُوْا فَاحِشَةً اَوْ ظَلَمُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللّٰهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوْا لِذُنُوْبِهِمْۗ وَمَنْ يَّغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ ۗ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوْا عَلٰى مَا فَعَلُوْا وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُوْنَ ( آل عمران: ١٣٥ )
Wallazeena izaa fa'aloo faahishatan aw zalamooo anfusahum zakarul laaha fastaghfaroo lizunoobihim; wa mai yaghfiruz zunooba illal laahu wa lam yusirroo 'alaa maa fa'aloo wa hum ya'lamooo (ʾĀl ʿImrān 3:135)
English Sahih:
And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins – and who can forgive sins except Allah? – and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know. (Ali 'Imran [3] : 135)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
വല്ല നീചകൃത്യവും ചെയ്യുകയോ, തങ്ങളോടുതന്നെ എന്തെങ്കിലും അക്രമം കാണിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താല്‍ അപ്പോള്‍തന്നെ അല്ലാഹുവെ ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നവരാണവര്‍; തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മാപ്പിരക്കുന്നവരും. പാപങ്ങള്‍ പൊറുക്കാന്‍ അല്ലാഹുവല്ലാതെ ആരുണ്ട്? അവരൊരിക്കലും തങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്തുപോയ തെറ്റുകളില്‍ ബോധപൂര്‍വം ഉറച്ചുനില്‍ക്കുകയില്ല. (ആലുഇംറാന്‍ [3] : 135)

വല്ല നീചകൃത്യവും ചെയ്തുപോയാല്‍, അഥവാ സ്വന്തത്തോട് തന്നെ വല്ല ദ്രോഹവും ചെയ്തു പോയാല്‍ അല്ലാഹുവെ ഓര്‍ക്കുകയും തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മാപ്പുതേടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി. -പാപങ്ങള്‍ പൊറുക്കുവാന്‍ അല്ലാഹുവല്ലാതെ ആരാണുള്ളത്‌?- ചെയ്തുപോയ (ദുഷ്‌) പ്രവൃത്തിയില്‍ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് ഉറച്ചുനില്‍ക്കാത്തവരുമാകുന്നു അവര്‍.
