فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِّيْثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِمْ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الْاَنْۢبِيَاۤءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَّقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوْبُنَا غُلْفٌ ۗ بَلْ طَبَعَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًاۖ ( النساء: ١٥٥ )
Fabimaa naqdihim meesaaqahum wa kufrihim bi Aayaatil laahi wa qatlihimul Ambiyaaa'a bighairi haqqinw wa qawlihim quloobunna ghulf; bal taba'al laahu 'alaihaa bikufrihim falaa yu'minoona illaa qaleelaa (an-Nisāʾ 4:155)
English Sahih:
And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped" [i.e., sealed against reception]. Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few. (An-Nisa [4] : 155)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
എന്നിട്ടും അവര്‍ കരാര്‍ ലംഘിച്ചു. ദൈവിക വചനങ്ങളെ ധിക്കരിച്ചു. അന്യായമായി പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊന്നു. തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങള്‍ മൂടിക്കുള്ളില്‍ ഭദ്രമാണെന്ന് വീമ്പുപറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ നിഷേധഫലമായി അല്ലാഹു അവരുടെ മനസ്സുകള്‍ അടച്ചുപൂട്ടി മുദ്രവെച്ചു. അതിനാല്‍ അവര്‍ വളരെ കുറച്ചേ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ. (അന്നിസാഅ് [4] : 155)

എന്നിട്ട് അവര്‍ കരാര്‍ ലംഘിച്ചതിനാലും, അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങള്‍ നിഷേധിച്ചതിനാലും, അന്യായമായി പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയതിനാലും, തങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സുകള്‍ അടഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുകയാണ് എന്ന് അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞതിനാലും (അവര്‍ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.) അല്ല, അവരുടെ സത്യനിഷേധം കാരണമായി അല്ലാഹു ആ മനസ്സുകളുടെ മേല്‍ മുദ്രകുത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്‌. ആകയാല്‍ ചുരുക്കത്തിലല്ലാതെ അവര്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയില്ല.
