اَيْنَمَا تَكُوْنُوْا يُدْرِكْكُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِيْ بُرُوْجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ ۗ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَّقُوْلُوْا هٰذِهٖ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَّقُوْلُوْا هٰذِهٖ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ ۗ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ ۗ فَمَالِ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ الْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُوْنَ يَفْقَهُوْنَ حَدِيْثًا ( النساء: ٧٨ )
Ainamaa takoonoo yudrikkumul mawtu wa law kuntum fee buroojim mushai yadah; wa in tusibhum hasanatuny yaqooloo haazihee min indil laahi wa in tusibhum saiyi'atuny yaqooloo haazihee min 'indik; qul kullum min 'indillaahi famaa lihaaa 'ulaaa'il qawmi laa yakkaadoona yafqahoona hadeesaa (an-Nisāʾ 4:78)
English Sahih:
Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, "This is from Allah"; and if evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you." Say, "All [things] are from Allah." So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement? (An-Nisa [4] : 78)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
''നിങ്ങള് എവിടെയായിരുന്നാലും മരണം നിങ്ങളെ പിടികൂടും. നിങ്ങള് ഭദ്രമായി കെട്ടിപ്പൊക്കിയ കോട്ടകള്ക്കകത്തായാലും.'' വല്ല നന്മയും വന്നുകിട്ടിയാല് അവര് പറയും: ''ഇത് ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്.'' വല്ല വിപത്തും ബാധിച്ചാല് അവര് പറയും: ''നീയാണിതിന് കാരണക്കാരന്.'' പറയുക: ''എല്ലാം അല്ലാഹുവിങ്കല് നിന്നു തന്നെ. ഈ ജനതക്കെന്തുപറ്റി? ഇവരൊരു കാര്യവും മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.'' (അന്നിസാഅ് [4] : 78)

നിങ്ങള് എവിടെയായിരുന്നാലും മരണം നിങ്ങളെ പിടികൂടുന്നതാണ്. നിങ്ങള് ഭദ്രമായി കെട്ടി ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെട്ട കോട്ടകള്ക്കുള്ളിലായാല് പോലും. (നബിയേ,) അവര്ക്ക് വല്ല നേട്ടവും വന്നുകിട്ടിയാല് അവര് പറയും; ഇത് അല്ലാഹുവിങ്കല് നിന്ന് ലഭിച്ചതാണ് എന്ന്. അവര്ക്ക് വല്ല ദോഷവും ബാധിച്ചാല് അവര് പറയും; ഇത് നീ കാരണം ഉണ്ടായതാണ് എന്ന്. പറയുക: എല്ലാം അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പക്കല് നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്. അപ്പോള് ഈ ആളുകള്ക്ക് എന്ത് പറ്റി? അവര് ഒരു വിഷയവും മനസ്സിലാക്കാന് ഭാവമില്ല.
