وَقَالَتْ اُوْلٰىهُمْ لِاُخْرٰىهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْلٍ فَذُوْقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْسِبُوْنَ ࣖ ( الأعراف: ٣٩ )
waqālat
وَقَالَتْ
And (will) say
പറയുകയും ചെയ്യും
ūlāhum
أُولَىٰهُمْ
(the) first of them
അവരില്‍ ആദ്യത്തേവര്‍
li-ukh'rāhum
لِأُخْرَىٰهُمْ
to (the) last of them
അവരില്‍ അവസാനത്തേവരോടു, അവസാനത്തേവരെക്കുറിച്ചു
famā kāna
فَمَا كَانَ
"Then not is
അപ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ടായില്ല, ഇല്ല
lakum
لَكُمْ
for you
നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു
ʿalaynā
عَلَيْنَا
upon us
ഞങ്ങളെക്കാള്‍
min faḍlin
مِن فَضْلٍ
any superiority
ഒരു ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയും, മെച്ചവും
fadhūqū
فَذُوقُوا۟
so taste
ആകയാല്‍ (എനി - അപ്പോള്‍) ആസ്വദിക്കുവിന്‍ (അനുഭവിക്കുക)
l-ʿadhāba
ٱلْعَذَابَ
the punishment
ശിക്ഷ
bimā kuntum
بِمَا كُنتُمْ
for what you used to
നിങ്ങളായിരുന്നതുനിമിത്തം
taksibūna
تَكْسِبُونَ
earn"
നിങ്ങള്‍ സമ്പാദിക്കും.
Wa qaalat oolaahum li ukhraahum famaa kaana lakum 'alainaa min fadlin fazooqul azaaba bimaa kuntum taksiboon (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:39)
English Sahih:
And the first of them will say to the last of them, "Then you had not any favor over us, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn." (Al-A'raf [7] : 39)

അവരിലെ മുന്‍ഗാമികള്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ പിന്‍ഗാമികളോടു പറയും: ''അപ്പോള്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഞങ്ങളെക്കാള്‍ ഒരു ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയുമില്ല. അതിനാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ ശേഖരിച്ചുവെച്ചിരുന്നതിന്റെ ഫലമായുള്ള ശിക്ഷ നിങ്ങളനുഭവിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക.'' (അല്‍അഅ്റാഫ് [7] : 39)
