وَكَذٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيْرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ قَتْلَ اَوْلَادِهِمْ شُرَكَاۤؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوْهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ دِيْنَهُمْۗ وَلَوْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ مَا فَعَلُوْهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُوْنَ ( الأنعام: ١٣٧ )
Wa kazaalika zaiyana likaseerim minal mushrikeena qatla awlaadihim shurakaaa'uhum liyurdoohum wa liyalbisoo 'alaihim deenahum wa law shaaa'al laahu maa fa'aloohu fazarhum wa maa yaftaroon (al-ʾAnʿām 6:137)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
இவ்வாறே, இணைவைத்து வணங்குபவர்களில் பலர் (தாங்களே) தங்கள் குழந்தைகளைக் கொலை செய்வதை அவர்கள் அழகாகக் காணும்படி அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்கள் செய்து அவர்களைப் படுகுழியில் தள்ளி, அவர்களுடைய மார்க்கத்தையும் குழப்பமாக்கிவிட்டன. அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் அவர்கள் இவ்வாறு செய்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள். ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நீங்கள் அவர்களையும் அவர்களுடைய பொய்க் கூற்றுகளையும் விட்டு விடுங்கள்.
English Sahih:
And likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allah had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent. ([6] Al-An'am : 137)

இவ்வாறே இணை வைப்போரில் பெரும்பாலோருக்கு, அவர்களுடைய குழந்தைகளையே கொலை செய்வதை அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்கள் அழகாக்கி வைத்துள்ளன; அவர்களை நாசப்படுத்தி, அவர்களுடைய மார்க்கத்தையும் குழப்பத்திலாக்கிவிட்டன. அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் அவர்கள் அப்படிச் செய்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள். எனவே (நபியே!) நீர் அவர்களையும், அவர்களுடைய பொய்யான கூற்றுக்களையும் விட்டு விலகி விடுவீராக.
