وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَّثَلَ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاۤءٍ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهٖ نَبَاتُ الْاَرْضِ فَاَصْبَحَ هَشِيْمًا تَذْرُوْهُ الرِّيٰحُ ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّقْتَدِرًا ( الكهف: ٤٥ )
Wa Ađrib Lahum Mathala Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Kamā'in 'Anzalnāhu Mina As-Samā'i Fākhtalaţa Bihi Nabātu Al-'Arđi Fa'aşbaĥa Hashīmāan Tadhrūhu Ar-Riyāĥu Wa Kāna Allāhu `Alaá Kulli Shay'in Muqtadirāan. (al-Kahf 18:45)
A. S. F. Bubenheim and N. Elyas:
Und präge ihnen das Gleichnis vom diesseitigen Leben. (Es ist) wie Wasser, das Wir vom Himmel hinabkommen lassen, worauf sich damit das Gewächs der Erde vermischt. Dann wird es zu vertrocknetem Zeug, das die Winde verwehen. Und Allah hat ja zu allem völlig die Macht. ([18] al-Kahf (Die Höhle) : 45)
English Sahih:
And present to them the example of the life of this world, [its being] like rain which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and [then] it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the winds. And Allah is ever, over all things, Perfect in Ability. ([18] Al-Kahf : 45)

Und präge ihnen das Gleichnis des diesseitigen Lebens, wie Wasser, das WIR vom Himmel fallen ließen, dann gedieh mit ihm das Gewächs auf der Erde, dann wurde dies zu Vertrocknetem, das der Wind verweht. Und ALLAH ist über alles allvermögend.
