وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَّثَلَ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاۤءٍ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهٖ نَبَاتُ الْاَرْضِ فَاَصْبَحَ هَشِيْمًا تَذْرُوْهُ الرِّيٰحُ ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّقْتَدِرًا ( الكهف: ٤٥ )
Waidrib lahum mathala alhayati alddunya kamain anzalnahu mina alssamai faikhtalata bihi nabatu alardi faasbaha hasheeman tathroohu alrriyahu wakana Allahu 'ala kulli shayin muqtadiran (al-Kahf 18:45)

और उनके समक्ष सांसारिक जीवन की उपमा प्रस्तुत करो, यह ऐसी है जैसे पानी हो, जिसे हमने आकाश से उतारा तो उससे धरती की पौध घनी होकर परस्पर गुँथ गई। फिर वह चूरा-चूरा होकर रह गई, जिसे हवाएँ उड़ाए लिए फिरती है। अल्लाह को तो हर चीज़ की सामर्थ्य प्राप्त है
English Sahih:
And present to them the example of the life of this world, [its being] like rain which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and [then] it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the winds. And Allah is ever, over all things, Perfect in Ability. ([18] Al-Kahf : 45)

और (ऐ रसूल) इनसे दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी की मसल भी बयान कर दो कि उसके हालत पानी की सी है जिसे हमने आसमान से बरसाया तो ज़मीन की उगाने की ताक़त उसमें मिल गई और (खूब फली फूली) फिर आख़िर रेज़ा रेज़ा (भूसा) हो गई कि उसको हवाएँ उड़ाए फिरती है और ख़ुदा हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है
