وَلَا تَقْتُلُوْٓا اَوْلَادَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ اِمْلَاقٍۗ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَاِيَّاكُمْۗ اِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْـًٔا كَبِيْرًا ( الإسراء: ٣١ )

أَوْلَٰدَكُمْ

(for) fear
im'lāqin
إِمْلَٰقٍۖ

نَّحْنُ
We
narzuquhum
نَرْزُقُهُمْ
(We) provide for them
wa-iyyākum
وَإِيَّاكُمْۚ
and for you
inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
qatlahum
قَتْلَهُمْ
their killing
kāna
كَانَ
is
khiṭ'an
خِطْـًٔا
a sin
kabīran
كَبِيرًا
great
Wa laa taqtulooo awlaadakum khashyata imlaaq; nahnu narzuquhum wa iyyaakum; inna qatlahum kaana khitan kabeeraa (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:31)
Sahih International:
And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin. (Al-Isra [17] : 31)
