O you who believe!
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
O you who believe!
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
O you who believe!
ir'kaʿū
ٱرْكَعُوا۟
Bow
wa-us'judū
وَٱسْجُدُوا۟
and prostrate
wa-uʿ'budū
وَٱعْبُدُوا۟
and worship
rabbakum
رَبَّكُمْ
your Lord
wa-if'ʿalū
وَٱفْعَلُوا۟
and do
l-khayra
ٱلْخَيْرَ
[the] good
laʿallakum
لَعَلَّكُمْ
so that you may
tuf'liḥūna
تُفْلِحُونَ۩
be successful.

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanur ka'oo wasjudoo wa'budoo Rabbakum waf'alul khaira la'allakum tuflihoon

Sahih International:

O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.

O you who believe, bow down and prostrate yourselves, in other words, perform prayer, and worship your Lord, affirm His Oneness, and do good, such as [showing] kindness to kin and [the adoption of] noble traits, that perhaps you may be prosperous, [that perhaps] you may secure everlasting life in Paradise.

24 Tafseer Ibn Kathir

The Command to worship Allah and engage in Jihad

Allah said;

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ امَنُوا ارْكَعُوا وَاسْجُدُوا وَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ

وَافْعَلُوا الْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ




O you who believe! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful.

It was reported from Uqbah bin Amir that the Prophet said;

فُضِّلَتْ سُورَةُ الْحَجِّ بِسَجْدَتَيْنِ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْجُدْهُمَا فَلَ يَقْرَأْهُمَا

Surah Al-Hajj has been blessed with two Sajdah, so whoever does not prostrate them should not read them
