ۨالَّذِيْنَ يَتَّخِذُوْنَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ مِنْ دُوْنِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ۗ اَيَبْتَغُوْنَ عِنْدَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَاِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلّٰهِ جَمِيْعًاۗ  ( النساء: ١٣٩ )

alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
yattakhidhūna
يَتَّخِذُونَ
take
l-kāfirīna
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
the disbelievers
awliyāa
أَوْلِيَآءَ
(as) allies
min
مِن
(from)
dūni
دُونِ
instead of
l-mu'minīna
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَۚ
the believers
ayabtaghūna
أَيَبْتَغُونَ
Do they seek
ʿindahumu
عِندَهُمُ
with them
l-ʿizata
ٱلْعِزَّةَ
the honor?
fa-inna
فَإِنَّ
But indeed
l-ʿizata
ٱلْعِزَّةَ
the honor
lillahi
لِلَّهِ
(is) for Allah
jamīʿan
جَمِيعًا
all

Allazeena yattakhizoo nal kaafireena awliyaaa'a min doonil mu'mineen; a-yabta ghoona 'indahumul 'izzata fainnnal 'izzata lillaahi jamee'aa (an-Nisāʾ 4:139)

Sahih International:

Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allah entirely. (An-Nisa [4] : 139)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

- those who take the disbelievers for friends rather than the believers. Are they seeking honor in their company? But, indeed, all honor belongs to Allah,
