An-Nisa Verse 99

it is right to hope that Allah will pardon them. For Allah is Ever-Pardoning, All-Forgiving.

They are those whom Allah may pardon, for Allah is Ever- Pardoning, All-Forgiving.

haply them God will yet pardon, for God is All-pardoning, All-forgiving.

God may well pardon these, for He is most pardoning and most forgiving. Anyone who migrates for God’s cause will find many a refuge and great plenty in the earth,

These: belike Allah will pardon them, and Allah is ever Pardoning, Forgiving.

For these, there is hope that Allah will forgive; For Allah doth blot out (sins) and forgive again and again.

maybe Allah shall pardon these, for Allah is All-Pardoning, All-Forgiving.

May well hope for the mercy of God; and God is full of mercy and grace.

So for such, it is likely that Allah will pardon them; and Allah is Most Pardoning, Oft Forgiving.

Maybe Allah will excuse them, for Allah is all-excusing, all-forgiving.

For those (while their circumstances are unchanged, it is expected that) God will not hold them accountable and will excuse them. Assuredly God is One Who excuses much, All-Forgiving.

As to these Allâh may pardon them (for their helplessness), for Allâh is the Effacer of sins, Most Forgiving.

So those, maybe God that He forgives/pardons on them, and God was/is often forgiving, (a) forgiver.

So for such, it is likely that Allah will pardon them; and Allah is Most Pardoning, Oft Forgiving.

And when you travel about in the earth, it is no crime to you that you shorten your prayer for fear that unbelievers will set upon you. Verily, the unbelievers are your obvious foes.

For these there is hope that Allah will forgive them, and Allah is Ever Oft Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.

Except the weak from among the men and the women and the children who have not the means, nor can they find a way (to escape);

So these, it may be, Allah will pardon them, and Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.

As for such, it may be that Allah will pardon them. Allah is ever Clement, Forgiving.

perhaps God will forgive them; He is All-merciful and All-forgiving.

Those, Allah may pardon them, He is the Pardoner, the Forgiver.

These are they whom Allah is likely to forgive them, and Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.

God may well pardon them. God is ever-pardoning and ever forgiving.

These—God may well pardon them. God is Pardoning and Forgiving.

As for such, perhaps God will pardon them, for God is ever Pardoning, Forgiving.

فَأُوْلَـيِكَ عَسَى اللّهُ أَن يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ

These are they whom Allah is likely to forgive them,

means, pardon them for not migrating, and here, `likely' means He shall,

وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا



and Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.

Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Hurayrah said,

"While the Messenger of Allah was praying `Isha', he said, `Sami` Allahu Liman Hamidah.' He then said before he prostrated,

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أبِي رَبِيعَةَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْمُوْمِنِينَ اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُف

O Allah! Save Ayyash bin Abi Rabi`ah. O Allah! Save Salamah bin Hisham. O Allah! Save Al-Walid bin Al-Walid. O Allah! Save the weak Muslims. O Allah! Be very hard on Mudar tribe. O Allah! Afflict them with years (of famine) similar to the (famine) years of the time of Prophet Yusuf.)"

Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu An-Nu`man said that Hammad bin Zayd said that Ayub narrated that Ibn Abi Mulaykah said that Ibn Abbas commented on the verse,
إِلاَّ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ
(Except the weak ones among men),

"I and my mother were among those (weak ones) whom Allah excused."
