Ghafir Verse 49

And those in the Fire will cry out to the keepers of Hell,[[ The verse does not say “Those in the Fire will cry out to its keepers,” simply because there are levels in the Fire: those in higher levels will plead to the keepers of the depths of Hell to appeal to Allah to lighten the punishment even for one day, since they think they are better than those at the bottom. ]] “Pray to your Lord to lighten the torment for us ˹even˺ for one day!”

Those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, “Pray to your Lord to lighten for us the punishment for just one day.”

And those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna, 'Call on your Lord, to lighten for us one day of the chastisement!'

Those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, ‘Ask your Lord to lessen our suffering for one day,’

And those in the Fire will say Unto the keepers of Hell: supplicate your Lord that He may lighten for us a day of the torment.

Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell; "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!"

Those suffering in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell: “Call upon your Lord to lighten the chastisement for us just for a day.”

Those in the Fire will say to the warders of Hell: "Ask your Lord to reduce the punishment by a day for us."

And those who are in the fire said to its guards, “Pray to your Lord to decrease the punishment upon us for one day.”

Those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of hell, ‘Invoke your Lord to lighten for us [at least] a day’s punishment.’

Those who are in the Fire will cry to the keepers of Hell: "Call upon your Lord that He may lighten the punishment for us for one day (at least)."

And those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Gehenna, `Call to your Lord that He may relieve us of our agony for a while.´

And those in the fire said to Hell`s safe keepers: "Call your Lord, (to) reduce/lighten from us a day from the torture

And those who are in the fire said to its guards, “Pray to your Lord to decrease the punishment upon us for one day.”

And those who are in the fire shall say to the keepers of Hell, "Call upon your Lord that He may lighten to us one day of this punishment

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers (angels) of Hell: "Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day!"

Those who were proud say: Now we are all in it: Allah has indeed judged between the servants.

And those who are in the fire shall say to the keepers of hell: Call upon your Lord that He may lighten to us one day of the punishment.

And those in the Fire say unto the guards of hell: Entreat your Lord that He relieve us of a day of the torment.

The dwellers of hell fire will ask its keepers, "Pray to your Lord to relieve us from the torment at least for one day".

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna (Hell): 'Call your Lord to lessen our punishment for one day'

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers (angels) of Hell: "Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day!"

Those in the Fire will say to its keepers, "Implore your Lord to relieve our torment for one day,"

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, “Call to your Lord to lessen our suffering for one day.”

And those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, `Call on your Lord that He relieve us of [at least] a day, in other words, the equivalent of one day, of the chastisement!'

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers (angels) of Hell;"Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day!"

They know that Allah will not answer them and will not listen to their prayer, because He said,

اخْسَيُواْ فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ

Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me! (23;108),

so they will ask the keepers of Hell, who are like jailers watching over the people of Hell, to pray to Allah to lessen the Fire for them if only for one day. But the keepers of Hell will refuse, saying to them

And there shall the inmates of Hell say to the sentinels who keep guard: "Would you invoke Allah your Creator to ease our anguish and torture just for one day
