Al-An'am Verse 24

See how they will lie about themselves and how those ˹gods˺ they fabricated will fail them!

See how they will lie against themselves, and all what they used to fabricate will vanish from them.

Behold how they lie against themselves, and how that which they were forging has gone astray from them!

See how they lie against themselves and how those they invented have deserted them.

Behold! how they lied against themselves! and then failed them that which they had been fabricating.

Behold! how they lie against their own souls! But the (lie) which they invented will leave them in the lurch.

Behold, how they will lie against themselves and how their forged deities will forsake them!

You will see how they will lie against themselves, and all their slanderings will be vain.

Observe how they lied against themselves, and how they lost the things they fabricated!

Look, how they forswear themselves, and what they used to fabricate has forsaken them!

Look! – How they lie against themselves, and (how) what they fabricated as partners (to worship besides God) has failed them!

Look! how they lie against themselves, and those (associate-gods) which they used to forge shall fail them.

See/look how they lied on (to) themselves, and what they were fabricating (was) wasted/lost from them.

Observe how they lied against themselves, and how they lost the things they fabricated!

And among them are some who listen unto you, but We have placed a veil upon their heart lest they should understand it, and in their ears is deafness; and though they saw each sign they would not believe therein, to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the unbelievers say, "These are but old folks´ tales."

Look! How they lie against themselves! But the (lie) which they invented will disappear from them.

Then their excuse would be nothing but that they would say: By Allah, our Lord! we were not polytheists.

See how they lie against their own souls, and that which they forged has passed away from them.

See how they lie against themselves, and (how) the thing which they devised hath failed them!

Consider, how they have lied against their own souls and have lost their gods.

Look how they lie against themselves, and how that which they were forging has gone astray from them!

Look! How they lie against themselves! But the (lie) which they invented will disappear from them.

See how they lie to themselves, and how those [the deities] they invented have deserted them.

Look how they lied to themselves. And what they invented deserted them.

God, exalted be He, says; See, O Muhammad (s), how they lie against themselves, by denying that their idolatry, and how that which they were forging, against God, in the way of associates, has failed, is absent [before], them!

Look! How they lie against themselves! But the (lie) which they invented will disappear from them.

which is similar to His other statement,

ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ

مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ قَـالُواْ ضَـلُّواْ عَنَّا بَل لَّمْ نَكُنْ نَّدْعُواْ مِن قَبْلُ شَيْياً كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الْكَـفِرِينَ

Then it will be said to them;"Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners, Besides Allah'!'

They will say, "They have vanished from us;Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before."

Thus Allah leads astray the disbelievers. (40;73-74)
