فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوْتِۘ اِذْ نَادٰى وَهُوَ مَكْظُوْمٌۗ  ( القلم: ٤٨ )

fa-iṣ'bir
فَٱصْبِرْ
So be patient
liḥuk'mi
لِحُكْمِ
for (the) decision
rabbika
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
walā
وَلَا
and (do) not
takun
تَكُن
be
kaṣāḥibi
كَصَاحِبِ
like (the) companion
l-ḥūti
ٱلْحُوتِ
(of) the fish
idh
إِذْ
when
nādā
نَادَىٰ
he called out
wahuwa
وَهُوَ
while he
makẓūmun
مَكْظُومٌ
(was) distressed

Fasbir lihkmi rabbika wa laa takun kasaahibil boot; iz naadaa wa huwa makzoom (al-Q̈alam 68:48)

Sahih International:

Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish [i.e., Jonah] when he called out while he was distressed. (Al-Qalam [68] : 48)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

So, remain patient with your Lord’s judgment, and be not like the Man of the Fish, he cried out while he was in anguish.
