مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يُقْرِضُ اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضٰعِفَهٗ لَهٗٓ اَضْعَافًا كَثِيْرَةً ۗوَاللّٰهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْصُۣطُۖ وَاِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ ( البقرة: ٢٤٥ )
Man zal lazee yuqridul laaha qardan hasanan fayudaa 'ifahoo lahoo ad'aafan kaseerah; wallaahu yaqbidu wa yabsut-u wa ilaihi turja'oon (al-Baq̈arah 2:245)
English Sahih:
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 245)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Quiconque prête à Allah de bonne grâce, Il le lui rendra multiplié plusieurs fois. Allah restreint ou étend (Ses faveurs.) Et c'est à Lui que vous retournerez. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 245)

Qui est donc celui qui œuvre tel un prêteur ? Il dépense ainsi sa richesse pour Allah avec une bonne intention et de bonne grâce afin de récupérer son prêt démultiplié. Allah restreint ou augmente Ses bienfaits, comme la subsistance ou la santé d’une façon qui est toujours conforme à Sa sagesse et à Sa justice. C’est à Lui que vous retournerez dans l’au-delà et Il vous rétribuera pour vos œuvres.
