اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهٖ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا وَكَانُوْا قَوْمًا عَالِيْنَ ۚ ( المؤمنون: ٤٦ )

wamala-ihi
وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ
and his chiefs
et ses notables
fa-is'takbarū
فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
but they behaved arrogantly
et ils sont ensuite devenus orgueilleux
wakānū
وَكَانُوا۟
and they were
et étaient
qawman
قَوْمًا
a people
des gens
ʿālīna
عَالِينَ
haughty
arrogants.
Ilaa Fir'awna wa mala'ihee fastakbaroo wa kaanoo qawman 'aaleem (al-Muʾminūn 23:46)
English Sahih:
To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people. (Al-Mu'minun [23] : 46)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
vers Pharaon et ses notables mais ceux-ci s'enflèrent d'orgueil: ils étaient des gens hautains. (Al-Mu'minune [23] : 46)
