وَجَاۤءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ۗذٰلِكَ مَا كُنْتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيْدُ ( ق: ١٩ )
wajāat
وَجَآءَتْ
And will come
Et arrivera
sakratu
سَكْرَةُ
(the) stupor
(la) stupeur
l-mawti
ٱلْمَوْتِ
(of) death
(de) la mort
bil-ḥaqi
بِٱلْحَقِّۖ
in truth
en toute la vérité.
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
"That
« Cela (est)
mā
مَا
(is) what
ce que
kunta
كُنتَ
you were
tu évitais
min'hu
مِنْهُ
[from it]
[de lui]
taḥīdu
تَحِيدُ
avoiding"
tu évitais. »
Wa jaaa'at kullu nafsim ma'ahaa saaa'iqunw wa shaheed (Q̈āf 50:19)
English Sahih:
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. (Qaf [50] : 19)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
L'agonie de la mort fait apparaître la vérité: «Voilà ce dont tu t'écartais». (Qaf [50] : 19)
