خَاشِعَةً اَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۗذٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِيْ كَانُوْا يُوْعَدُوْنَ ࣖ ( المعارج: ٤٤ )
khāshiʿatan
خَٰشِعَةً
Humbled
(dans l’état où seront) humbles
abṣāruhum
أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ
their eyes
leurs vues,
tarhaquhum
تَرْهَقُهُمْ
will cover them
les couvrira
dhillatun
ذِلَّةٌۚ
humiliation
du déshonneur.
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
That
Cela (est)
l-yawmu
ٱلْيَوْمُ
(is) the Day
le jour
alladhī
ٱلَّذِى
which
qu’
kānū
كَانُوا۟
they were
ils étaient promis
yūʿadūna
يُوعَدُونَ
promised
ils étaient promis.
Khaashi'atan absaaruhum tarhaquhum zillah; zaalikal yawmul lazee kaanoo yoo'adoon (al-Maʿārij 70:44)
English Sahih:
Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised. (Al-Ma'arij [70] : 44)

leurs yeux seront abaissés, l'avilissement les couvrira. C'est cela le jour dont on les menaçait! (Al-Ma'arij [70] : 44)
