يَسۡــَٔـلُكَ اَهۡلُ الۡـكِتٰبِ اَنۡ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ كِتٰبًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ فَقَدۡ سَاَ لُوۡا مُوۡسٰٓى اَكۡبَرَ مِنۡ ذٰ لِكَ فَقَالُوۡۤا اَرِنَا اللّٰهَ جَهۡرَةً فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الصّٰعِقَةُ بِظُلۡمِهِمۡ ۚ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذُوا الۡعِجۡلَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ الۡبَيِّنٰتُ فَعَفَوۡنَا عَنۡ ذٰ لِكَ ۚ وَاٰتَيۡنَا مُوۡسٰى سُلۡطٰنًا مُّبِيۡنًا(النساء :153)
Yasaluka ahlu alkitabi an tunazzila 'alayhim kitaban mina alssamai faqad saaloo moosa akbara min thalika faqaloo arina Allaha jahratan faakhathathumu alssa'iqatu bithulmihim thumma ittakhathoo al'ijla min ba'di ma jaathumu albayyinatu fa'afawna 'an thalika waatayna moosa sultanan mubeenan
Sahih International:
The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.
قُلۡ اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّىَ الۡـفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَ الۡاِثۡمَ وَالۡبَـغۡىَ بِغَيۡرِ الۡحَـقِّ وَاَنۡ تُشۡرِكُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهٖ سُلۡطٰنًا وَّاَنۡ تَقُوۡلُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(الأعراف :33)
Qul innama harrama rabbiya alfawahisha ma thahara minha wama batana waalithma waalbaghya bighayri alhaqqi waan tushrikoo biAllahi ma lam yunazzil bihi sultanan waan taqooloo 'ala Allahi ma la ta'lamoona
Sahih International:
Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed - and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know."
اَمۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطٰنًا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ(الروم :35)
Am anzalna 'alayhim sultanan fahuwa yatakallamu bima kanoo bihi yushrikoona
Sahih International:
Or have We sent down to them an authority, and it speaks of what they were associating with Him?
