وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ اَكْثَرُهُمْ اِلَّا ظَنًّاۗ اِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِيْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْـًٔاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِمَا يَفْعَلُوْنَ ( يونس: ٣٦ )
wamā yattabiʿu
وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ
And not follow
പിന്‍പറ്റുന്നില്ല
aktharuhum
أَكْثَرُهُمْ
most of them
അവരില്‍ അധികഭാഗവും (ആളും)
illā ẓannan
إِلَّا ظَنًّاۚ
except assumption
ഊഹത്തെയല്ലാതെ
inna l-ẓana
إِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ
Indeed the assumption
നിശ്ചയമായും ഊഹം
lā yugh'nī
لَا يُغْنِى
(does) not avail
അത്‌ പര്യാപ്‌തമാക്കുകയില്ല, ധന്യമാക്കുകയില്ല
mina l-ḥaqi
مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ
against the truth
യഥാര്‍ത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ച്‌
shayan
شَيْـًٔاۚ
anything
യാതൊന്നും, ഒട്ടും
inna l-laha
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ
Indeed Allah
നിശ്ചയമായും അല്ലാഹു
ʿalīmun
عَلِيمٌۢ
(is) All-Knower
അറിയുന്നവനാണ്‌
bimā yafʿalūna
بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ
of what they do
അവര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റി
Wa maa yattabi'u aksaruhum illaa zannaa; innaz zanna laa yughnee minal haqqi shai'aa; innal laaha 'Aleemum bimaa yaf'aloon (al-Yūnus 10:36)
English Sahih:
And most of them follow not except assumption. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do. (Yunus [10] : 36)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അവരിലേറെപ്പേരും ഊഹാപോഹത്തെ മാത്രമാണ് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നത്. സത്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ ഊഹം ഒട്ടും ഉപകരിക്കുകയില്ല. അല്ലാഹു അവര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതൊക്കെയും നന്നായറിയുന്നവനാണ്; തീര്‍ച്ച. (യൂനുസ് [10] : 36)
