۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ اَضَاعُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوٰتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا ۙ ( مريم: ٥٩ )

Then succeeded
എന്നാല്‍ പിന്നീടുസ്ഥാനത്തുവന്നു, എന്നിട്ടു പിന്നിട്ടുണ്ടായി

مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ

അവരുടെ (ആ നബിമാരുടെ) ശേഷം
khalfun
خَلْفٌ
successors
ഒരു (തരം) പിന്‍ഗാമികള്‍
aḍāʿū
أَضَاعُوا۟
who neglected
അവര്‍ പാഴാക്കി
l-ṣalata
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the prayer
നമസ്കാരം
wa-ittabaʿū
وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟
and they followed
അവര്‍ പിന്തുടരുകയും ചെയ്തു
l-shahawāti
ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِۖ
the lusts
ദേഹേച്ഛകളെ, സ്വേച്ഛകളെ, തന്നിഷ്ടങ്ങളെ
fasawfa
فَسَوْفَ
so soon
ആകയാല്‍ പുറകെ, വഴിയെ
yalqawna
يَلْقَوْنَ
they will meet
അവര്‍ കണ്ടെത്തും
ghayyan
غَيًّا
evil
ദുര്‍മ്മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം (ദുര്‍മ്മാര്‍ഗ്ഗഫലം)
Fakhalafa mim ba'dihim khalfun adaa'us Salaata wattaba'ush shahawaati fasawfa yalqawna ghaiyaa (Maryam 19:59)
English Sahih:
But there came after them successors [i.e., later generations] who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil – (Maryam [19] : 59)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
പിന്നീട് ഇവര്‍ക്കു പിറകെ പിഴച്ച ഒരു തലമുറ രംഗത്തുവന്നു. അവര്‍ നമസ്കാരം പാഴാക്കി. തന്നിഷ്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊത്ത് ജീവിച്ചു. തങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്‍വൃത്തികളുടെ ദുരന്തഫലം അവരെ വൈകാതെ ബാധിക്കും. (മര്‍യം [19] : 59)
