وَدَّتْ طَّاۤىِٕفَةٌ مِّنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ لَوْ يُضِلُّوْنَكُمْۗ وَمَا يُضِلُّوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ( آل عمران: ٦٩ )

وَدَّت
Wished
മോഹിക്കയാണ്
ṭāifatun
طَّآئِفَةٌ
a group
ഒരു വിഭാഗം
min ahli l-kitābi
مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
from (the) People (of) the Book
വേദക്കാരില്‍ നിന്ന്
law yuḍillūnakum
لَوْ يُضِلُّونَكُمْ
if they could lead you astray
അവര്‍ നിങ്ങളെ വഴിപിഴപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ (എന്ന്)
wamā yuḍillūna
وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ
and not they lead astray
അവര്‍ വഴിപിഴപ്പിക്കുന്നുമില്ല (താനും)
illā anfusahum
إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ
except themselves
തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ (സ്വന്തങ്ങളെ)യല്ലാതെ
wamā yashʿurūna
وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
and not they perceive
അവര്‍ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുമില്ല, അവര്‍ക്ക് ബോധം വരുന്നുമില്ല
Waddat taaa'ifatum min Ahlil Kitaabi law yudil loonakum wa maa yudilloona illaaa anfusahum wa maa yash'uroon (ʾĀl ʿImrān 3:69)
English Sahih:
A faction of the People of the Scripture wish they could mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they perceive [it] not. (Ali 'Imran [3] : 69)

വേദക്കാരിലൊരു കൂട്ടര്‍ നിങ്ങളെ വഴിതെറ്റിക്കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞെങ്കിലെന്ന് കൊതിക്കുന്നു. സത്യത്തില്‍ അവര്‍ അവരെത്തന്നെയാണ് വഴിതെറ്റിക്കുന്നത്. പക്ഷേ അവരതറിയുന്നില്ല. (ആലുഇംറാന്‍ [3] : 69)
