بَلْ تَأْتِيْهِمْ بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْظَرُوْنَ ( الأنبياء: ٤٠ )
Nay
بَلْ
மாறாக
it will come to them
تَأْتِيهِم
அது அவர்களிடம் வரும்
unexpectedly
بَغْتَةً
திடீரென
and bewilder them
فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ
அது அவர்களை திடுக்கிடச் செய்யும்
then not they will be able
فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
அவர்கள் இயலமாட்டார்கள்
to repel it
رَدَّهَا
அதை தடுப்பதற்கு
and not they will be given respite
وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ
இன்னும் அவர்கள் தாமதிக்கப்பட மாட்டார்கள்
Bal taateehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falaa yastatee'oona raddahaa wa laa hum yunzaroon (al-ʾAnbiyāʾ 21:40)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
அது இவர்களிடம் திடுகூறாகவே வந்து அவர்களைத் தட்டுக் கெட்டுத் தடுமாறும்படிச் செய்து விடும்; அதனைத் தட்டிக் கழித்துவிட இவர்களால் முடியாது. இவர்களுக்குச் சிறிதும் அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்படவும் மாட்டாது.
English Sahih:
Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved. ([21] Al-Anbya : 40)
