بَلْ تَأْتِيْهِمْ بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْظَرُوْنَ   ( الأنبياء: ٤٠ )

فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ
and bewilder them
falā
فَلَا
then not
yastaṭīʿūna
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
they will be able
raddahā
رَدَّهَا
to repel it
walā
وَلَا
and not
hum
هُمْ
they
yunẓarūna
يُنظَرُونَ
will be given respite

Bal taateehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falaa yastatee'oona raddahaa wa laa hum yunzaroon (al-ʾAnbiyāʾ 21:40)

Sahih International:

Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved. (Al-Anbya [21] : 40)

Rather, it will come upon them suddenly and will baffle them. So they will not be able to turn it back, nor will they be given respite.
