اِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتٰى وَلَا تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَاۤءَ اِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِيْنَ ( النمل: ٨٠ )
Indeed you
إِنَّكَ
நிச்சயமாக நீர்
(can)not cause to hear
لَا تُسْمِعُ
நீர் செவியுறச் செய்யமுடியாது
the dead
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
மரணித்தவர்களை
and not can you cause to hear
وَلَا تُسْمِعُ
இன்னும் நீர் செவியுறச் செய்ய முடியாது
the deaf
ٱلصُّمَّ
செவிடர்களுக்கும்
the call
ٱلدُّعَآءَ
அழைப்பை
when they turn back retreating
إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ
அவர்கள் புறமுதுகிட்டவர்களாக திரும்பினால்
Innaka laa tusmi'ul mawtaa wa laa tusmi'us summad du'aaa izaa wallaw mudbireen (an-Naml 27:80)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
(நபியே!) மரணித்தவர்களுக்குக் கேட்கும்படிச் செய்ய நிச்சயமாக உங்களால் முடியாது. (அவ்வாறே உங்களுக்குப்) புறங்காட்டிச் செல்லும் செவிடர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் அழைக்கும் (உங்களுடைய) சப்தத்தைக் கேட்கும்படிச் செய்யவும் முடியாது.
English Sahih:
Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating. ([27] An-Naml : 80)
