ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ كَانَتْ تَّأْتِيْهِمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَكَفَرُوْا فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّهٗ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ ( غافر: ٢٢ )
That (was) because [they]
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ
அதற்கு காரணம் நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள்
used to come to them used to come to them
كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ
அவர்களிடம் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்
their Messengers
رُسُلُهُم
அவர்களின் தூதர்கள்
with clear proofs
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன்
but they disbelieved
فَكَفَرُوا۟
ஆனால், அவர்கள் நிராகரித்தார்கள்
So Allah seized them
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
ஆகவே தண்டித்தான் அவர்களை
So Allah seized them
ٱللَّهُۚ
அல்லாஹ்
Indeed, He
إِنَّهُۥ
நிச்சயமாக அவன்
(is) All-Strong
قَوِىٌّ
வலிமை மிக்கவன்
severe (in) punishment
شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
தண்டிப்பதில் கடுமையானவன்
Zaalika bi annahum kaanat taateehim Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati fakafaroo fa akhazahumul laah; innahoo qawiyyun shadeedul 'iqaab (Ghāfir 40:22)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
இதன் காரணமாவது: நிச்சயமாக இவர்களிடம், தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் நம்முடைய தூதர்கள் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். (அவர்களை) இவர்கள் நிராகரித்துவிட்டனர். ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டான். நிச்சயமாக அவன் மிக பலமுடையவனும், (பாவிகளை) வேதனை செய்வதில் மிக கடினமானவனுமாவான்.
English Sahih:
That was because their messengers were coming to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allah seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment. ([40] Ghafir : 22)
