وَكَذٰلِكَ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّاۗ وَلَىِٕنِ اتَّبَعْتَ اَهْوَاۤءَهُمْ بَعْدَمَا جَاۤءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا وَاقٍ ࣖ   ( الرعد: ٣٧ )

wakadhālika
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
And thus
anzalnāhu
أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
We have revealed it
ḥuk'man
حُكْمًا
(to be) a judgment of authority
ʿarabiyyan
عَرَبِيًّاۚ
(in) Arabic
wala-ini
وَلَئِنِ
And if
ittabaʿta
ٱتَّبَعْتَ
you follow
ahwāahum
أَهْوَآءَهُم
their desires
baʿdamā
بَعْدَمَا
after what
jāaka
جَآءَكَ
came to you
mina
مِنَ
of
l-ʿil'mi
ٱلْعِلْمِ
the knowledge
مَا
not
laka
لَكَ
for you
mina
مِنَ
against
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
min
مِن
any
waliyyin
وَلِىٍّ
protector
walā
وَلَا
and not
wāqin
وَاقٍ
defender

Wa kazaalika anzalnaahu hukman 'Arabiyyaa; wa la'init taba'ta ahwaaa 'ahum ba'da maa jaaa'aka minal 'ilmi maa laka minal laahi minw waliyinw wa laa waaq (ar-Raʿd 13:37)

Sahih International:

And thus We have revealed it as an Arabic legislation. And if you should follow their inclinations after what has come to you of knowledge, you would not have against Allah any ally or any protector. (Ar-Ra'd [13] : 37)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Thus We have sent it down, being a command in Arabic. And if you follow their desires, after the knowledge that has come to you, there shall be neither a friend for you against Allah, nor a savior.
