Al-A'raf Verse 119

So Pharaoh and his people were defeated right there and put to shame.

They were defeated right there and were utterly humiliated.

So they were vanquished there, and they turned about, humbled.

Thus they were overcome and made to look abiect.

So the (great ones) were vanquished there and then, and were made to look small.

Pharaoh and his men were defeated and put to shame,

Thus there and then they were vanquished and overthrown, humiliated.

They were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated.

Thereat they were vanquished, and they retreated, humiliated.

Thus were they (the Pharaoh and his chiefs) defeated there (in front of everyone’s eyes), and brought low

Thus they (-Pharaoh and his people) were vanquished then and there, and they went back humiliated.

So they were defeated/overcome at that place and time, and they turned (became) submissive/subservient .

They were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated.

Thus were they vanquished there, and turned back humiliated!

So they were defeated there and then, and were returned disgraced.

So the truth was established, and that which they did became null.

Thus they were vanquished there, and they went back abased.

Thus were they there defeated and brought low.

The magicians who were defeated on the spot and were proved to be worthless,

they were defeated and turned belittled,

So they were defeated there and returned disgraced.

Pharaoh and his men were defeated and utterly humiliated.

There they were defeated, and utterly reduced.

Thus were they, that is, Pharaoh and his folk, there defeated, becoming humiliated -- they ended up abased.

وَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ
