قَالُوْا بَلْ جِئْنٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَمْتَرُوْنَ ( الحجر: ٦٣ )

قَالُوا۟
They said
Ils ont dit :
bal
بَلْ
"Nay
« Plutôt,
ji'nāka
جِئْنَٰكَ
we have come to you
nous t’avons apporté
bimā
بِمَا
with what
[] ce dont
kānū
كَانُوا۟
they were
ils se mettaient en doute
fīhi
فِيهِ
in it
au sujet de lui
yamtarūna
يَمْتَرُونَ
disputing
ils se mettaient en doute.
Qaaloo bal ji'naaka bimaa kaanoo feehi yamtaroon (al-Ḥijr 15:63)
English Sahih:
They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, (Al-Hijr [15] : 63)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
- Ils dirent: «Nous sommes plutôt venus à toi en apportant (le châtiment) à propos duquel ils doutaient. (Al-Hijr [15] : 63)
