اِنْ كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ اٰلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ اَنْ صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَاۗ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ حِيْنَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ اَضَلُّ سَبِيْلًا ( الفرقان: ٤٢ )
He would have almost
إِن
बेशक
He would have almost
كَادَ
वो क़रीब था
[surely] misled us
لَيُضِلُّنَا
कि वो भटका देता हमें
from
عَنْ
हमारे इलाहों से
our gods
ءَالِهَتِنَا
हमारे इलाहों से
if not
لَوْلَآ
अगर ना होती
that
أَن
ये (बात) कि
we had been steadfast
صَبَرْنَا
सब्र करते / जमे रहते हम
to them"
عَلَيْهَاۚ
उन पर
And soon
وَسَوْفَ
और अनक़रीब
will know
يَعْلَمُونَ
वो जान लेंगे
when
حِينَ
जिस वक़्त
they will see
يَرَوْنَ
वो देखेंगे
the punishment
ٱلْعَذَابَ
अज़ाब
who
مَنْ
कि कौन
(is) more astray
أَضَلُّ
ज़्यादा भटका हुआ है
(from the) way
سَبِيلًا
रास्ते से
In kada layudilluna 'an alihatina lawla an sabarna 'alayha wasawfa ya'lamoona heena yarawna al'athaba man adallu sabeelan (al-Furq̈ān 25:42)
Muhammad Faruq Khan Sultanpuri & Muhammad Ahmed:
इसने तो हमें भटकाकर हमको हमारे प्रभु-पूज्यों से फेर ही दिया होता, यदि हम उनपर मज़बूती से जम न गए होते।'
English Sahih:
He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way. ([25] Al-Furqan : 42)
