وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَبْخَلُوْنَ بِمَآ اٰتٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ ۗ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَّهُمْ ۗ سَيُطَوَّقُوْنَ مَا بَخِلُوْا بِهٖ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ ۗ وَلِلّٰهِ مِيْرَاثُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرٌ ࣖ ( آل عمران: ١٨٠ )
Wala yahsabanna allatheena yabkhaloona bima atahummu Allahu min fadlihi huwa khayran lahum bal huwa sharrun lahum sayutawwaqoona ma bakhiloo bihi yawma alqiyamati walillahi meerathu alssamawati waalardi waAllahu bima ta'maloona khabeerun (ʾĀl ʿImrān 3:180)

जो लोग उस चीज़ में कृपणता से काम लेते है, जो अल्लाह ने अपनी उदार कृपा से उन्हें प्रदान की है, वे यह न समझे कि यह उनके हित में अच्छा है, बल्कि यह उनके लिए बुरा है। जिस चीज़ में उन्होंने कृपणता से काम लिया होगा, वही आगे कियामत के दिन उनके गले का तौक़ बन जाएगा। और ये आकाश और धरती अंत में अल्लाह ही के लिए रह जाएँगे। तुम जो कुछ भी करते हो, अल्लाह उसकी ख़बर रखता है
English Sahih:
And let not those who [greedily] withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, of what you do, is [fully] Aware. ([3] Ali 'Imran : 180)

और जिन लोगों को ख़ुदा ने अपने फ़ज़ल (व करम) से कुछ दिया है (और फिर) बुख्ल करते हैं वह हरगिज़ इस ख्याल में न रहें कि ये उनके लिए (कुछ) बेहतर होगा बल्कि ये उनके हक़ में बदतर है क्योंकि जिस (माल) का बुख्ल करते हैं अनक़रीब ही क़यामत के दिन उसका तौक़ बनाकर उनके गले में पहनाया जाएगा और सारे आसमान व ज़मीन की मीरास ख़ुदा ही की है और जो कुछ तुम करते हो ख़ुदा उससे ख़बरदार है
