وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمَآءَ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لٰعِبِيۡنَ(الأنبياء :16)
وَمَا
And not
خَلَقْنَا
We created
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the earth
وَمَا
and what
بَيْنَهُمَا
(is) between them
لَٰعِبِينَ
(for) playing
Wama khalaqna alssamaa waalarda wama baynahuma la'ibeena
Sahih International:
And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.
لَوۡ اَرَدۡنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّـتَّخِذَ لَهۡوًا لَّا تَّخَذۡنٰهُ مِنۡ لَّدُنَّاۤ ۖ اِنۡ كُنَّا فٰعِلِيۡنَ(الأنبياء :17)
لَوْ
If
أَرَدْنَآ
We intended
أَن
that
نَّتَّخِذَ
We take
لَهْوًا
a pastime
لَّٱتَّخَذْنَٰهُ
surely We (could have) taken it
مِن
from
لَّدُنَّآ
Us
إِن
if
كُنَّا
We were
فَٰعِلِينَ
doers
Law aradna an nattakhitha lahwan laittakhathnahu min ladunna in kunna fa'ileena
Sahih International:
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
