اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْٓا اِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ ۙ ( الصافات: ٣٥ )
innahum kānū
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟
Indeed they were
കാരണം അവരായിരുന്നു
idhā qīla lahum
إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ
when it was said to them
അവരോടു പറയപ്പെട്ടാല്
lā ilāha
لَآ إِلَٰهَ
"(There is) no god
ഒരു ഇലാഹും ഇല്ല
illā l-lahu
إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ
except Allah"
അല്ലാഹു ഒഴികെ (എന്നു)
yastakbirūna
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
were arrogant
അവര് ഗര്വ്വ് (അഹംഭാവം) നടിച്ചിരുന്നു
Innahum kaanooo izaa qeela lahum laaa ilaaha illal laahu yastakbiroon (aṣ-Ṣāffāt 37:35)
English Sahih:
Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant (As-Saffat [37] : 35)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
'അല്ലാഹുവല്ലാതെ ദൈവമില്ലെ'ന്ന് അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞാല് അവര് അഹങ്കാരത്തോടെ മുഖം തിരിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. (അസ്സ്വാഫ്ഫാത്ത് [37] : 35)
